MSU battles well this weekend - Oct 24, 2011

The Bulldogs had a good showing this weekend. They finshed 1-2, competing with a short roster and some key injuries. The first game pitted MSU and UTC, where the Dogs came up short by two, losing 6-8. Next the Dogs took on TTU, where a balanced scoring attack and good team defense led to the Bulldogs taking an 8-3 win. To conclude the day, MSU played against MTSU, falling short again by just two goals, 6-8.

Sean Offenberger, Andrew Banker, Richard Vollmer, Brandon Owens, Wes Peery, Dan Hester, Matt Smith, Ben Hester, Ladd Byers, Eric Mahler, and Ben Bradley all reached the scorebook this weekend. Defenseman Ryan Crownover stepped in as goalie and played admirably.

Overall, the MSU coaches were excited about the play this weekend, and look forward to the spring season.
